Adobe Future Vision
A confidential exploration of future-facing product opportunities.
Overview
After handoff, I kept asking what else was possible.
Once Cheat Sheet’s specifications, interaction states, design system components, and engineering documentation were complete, the core experience moved into implementation. With the launch scope defined, I began exploring additional ideas that could improve Student Spaces and Cheat Sheet as a whole.
These concepts responded to opportunities I noticed throughout the research and design process, but they could not be included within the remaining internship timeline or were outside the team’s immediate scope. This became a space to think beyond the initial release and consider how the experience could grow over time.
Adobe Education Summit
A live prototype demo on stage.
I presented the prototype live at the Adobe Education Summit, giving a stage demo to hundreds of students and educators. Their reactions helped me see which parts of the future vision were immediately understandable and which ideas needed more explanation.
Adobe Student Insider Program
A closer feedback loop with students.
Alongside the summit, I demoed the work to Adobe’s Student Insider Program, a group of 30 college students from different universities, to gather additional ideas and more focused feedback.
Qualitative Research
Learning from ongoing research with Jessica Turner.
I met with Jessica Turner across multiple conversations to learn from her research on student agency and self-efficacy in AI-assisted learning. Her work with Alexa Siu, Jack Wang, the Document Intelligence Lab, and the Student Spaces team helped me evaluate the concepts through a deeper qualitative lens.
Explorations
Four directions I continued exploring.
These concepts look beyond the initial launch scope and remain protected by a confidentiality agreement. The previews are intentionally obscured, but I can share more about my thinking, process, and decisions in conversation.
Guiding Principle 01
Intentional before generated
Students should have full control over what goes into their cheat sheet before a single word is generated. The more specific the input, the more useful the output.
Guiding Principle 02
Earn the cheat sheet
The process of building a cheat sheet is inseparable from the studying itself. AI should accelerate that process without replacing the thinking behind it.
